What causes Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD)? That is a lot of factors causes the ADHD. Understand the factors that cause ADHD can help to prevent it. Genes Factor

Due to the research that published by Cardiff University Scientist, genes do play an important role to have ADHD. The research shows, if one of the family members are having ADHD, other members will have higher chances to have ADHD than other people who did not have member related to ADHD. The scientists believe that is not only one gene causes ADHD; They had founded a few of genes that will causes ADHD. In the research, scientists had reported 2 dopamine genes that are related with ADHD, the 2 genes are DAT1 and DRD4.


Brain Development Factor

Children with ADHD brain activity are lower than normal children. Through a brain scan can differentiate the different brain structure and brain activity between a normal people and people with ADHD.A size of frontal lobes is one of the different of brain structure.  If the frontal lobes are smaller than normal size more than 10 percents, it will cause ADHD. Frontal lobes are a part of the brain to control decision making.


Environment Factor

In other research shows, ADHD may develop during pregnancy. It means that if a mother taking alcohol, drugs, tobacco it may affect the baby. Alcohol, drugs and nicotine can damage the baby brain tissues. Other than that, if the baby gets brain injury, it will cause ADHD also.


Having the above factor doesn’t means that you will get an ADHD child but it do means that you have a higher risk to have an ADHD child.
